How to Ship Your Carbide Scrap
Watch our step-by-step guide before you ship — we walk you through everything from packaging to drop-off.
Six Simple Steps
From first contact to payment — here's exactly how the process works.
Request Your Quote
Contact Carbide Kings and tell us what type of carbide you have and approximately how much it weighs. You can call, email, or fill out our online quote form. We'll respond quickly with a competitive offer.
Prepare Your Material
Place the carbide into a strong container or properly reinforced shipping box appropriate for its weight. Tungsten carbide is extremely dense and heavy — packaging must be secure to prevent damage in transit. Use double-walled boxes, wooden crates, or metal containers for larger quantities.
Include Your Information
Download and print our Customer Shipping & Payment Form and include it with your shipment. The form has fields for your contact info, package count, weight, quoted price per pound, estimated payment, and your preferred payment method (Check, Zelle, or Wire Transfer). If you don't have a printer, just include a note with the following:
- Your full name
- Mailing address
- Phone number
- Email address
- Type of carbide material
- Approximate weight
- Any special instructions or notes
Ship Your Material
Ship your carbide to our receiving facility in Charlotte, NC. We recommend UPS or FedEx — both offer reliable tracking and easy insurance options. Always insure your package for the full value of your material before dropping it off. For large commercial quantities, contact us about freight and logistics options.
- Use UPS or FedEx for best results
- Always purchase package insurance
- Insure for the full value of your carbide
- Keep your tracking number until payment is received
